Westward® Warranty Policy
The warranty and return policy for all products identified as Westward or any other brand set out in the Westward catalogue wherever such product is advertised, promoted or sold (“Products”) is as set out below. Such warranty supercedes any and all manufacturers’ warranties, written or implied. Westward’s sole obligation shall be to repair or replace any Products that are defective in materials and/or workmanship discovered, and for which a warranty claim is made during the applicable warranty period, and no claims for damages of any type will be allowed. All Products are sold on this specific understanding. Warranties only apply when the Product is used for the purpose for which it was designed, in normal operating and other conditions. Defective warranted Products will be repaired or replaced at no cost with a new or reconditioned Product at the discretion of Westward. This warranty is void if there is evidence of misuse, abuse or alteration or if the Product is worn out from normal use. Warranted Products that have been discontinued will be replaced with similar available Products, or an appropriate credit will be issued. The specific warranty coverage for each Product is as set out in the then-current Westward price list. Westward sells only in Canada solely on a wholesale basis and accordingly warranties only apply to purchasers (“Customers”) for resale or for use in their business in Canada.
Lifetime Replacement Warranty.
Applies to all Products classified in Westward’s then-current price list with the letters “LW”. Westward will replace such defective Products when presented to Westward during their reasonably expected usable life.
Examples of some of the Products to which the Lifetime Replacement Warranty applies currently include:
- Wrenches*
- Hammers*
- Hex Keys
- Screwdrivers & Nut Drivers*
- Pliers
- Punches & Chisels
- Sockets & Attachments**
* Broken handles, bent shafts, snipe or hammer marks void warranty
** Rounded drive corners indicate abuse voiding warranty
30 Day, One & Two Year Replacement Warranties.
Applies to all Products classified in Westward’s then-current price list with the letters “30R”, “1R” or “2R” when presented to Westward within 30 days and 1 or 2 years respectively from the invoice date of the original purchase. Westward will replace defective Products.

- Wire Brushes
- Electrical Cords
- Butane Torches
- Welding Helmets
- Hard Hats
- Safety Glasses
Examples of some of the Products with 30 days:
- Reusable Gloves
- Coveralls & Duck Clothing
- Traffic Vests
- Traffic Cones
- Rainwear
- Ear Plugs & Muffs
- Taps & Dies
- Disposable Masks
- Drill Bits
- Cable Ties
Limited Repairable Warranty.
Applies to Products classified in Westward’s then-current price list with the letters “LR”. Westward will repair such defective Products when presented to Westward during their reasonably expected usable life. If, at Westward’s discretion, a Product is not repairable, Westward will replace such Product.
Examples of some of the Products to which the Limited Repairable Warranty applies currently include:
- C-Clamps
- Vises*
- Flex Bars*
- Ratchets*
- Pipe Wrenches*
* Broken handles, bent shafts, snipe or hammer marks void warranty.
One-Year, Two-Year and Three-Year Repairable Warranties.
Applies to all Products classified in Westward’s then-current price list with the letters “1Y”, “2Y”, or “3Y” when presented to Westward within 1, 2, or 3 years respectively from the invoice date of the original purchase. Westward will repair defective Products and will replace them if, at Westward’s discretion, the Products are not repairable.
Examples of some of the Products to which the One-Year Repairable Warranty applies currently include:
- Air Tools
- Bench Grinders
- Chain Pullers
- Drill Presses
- Cable Pullers
- Service Jacks
- Band Saws
- Shop Equipment
- Tool Storage
Examples of some of the Products to which the Two-Year Repairable Warranty applies currently include:
- Torque Wrenches (90 days on Calibration)
- Hand Pallet Trucks
- Hose Reels (6 months on Hoses)
- Platform Carts
Examples of some of the Products to which the Three-Year Repairable Warranty applies currently include:
- Plasma Cutters MIG/Stick Welders
No Guarantee.
No warranty coverage is applicable to Products which by their nature are subject to abuse. Such Products are classified in Westward's then-current price list with the letters “NW”.
Examples of some of the No Guarantee Products currently include:
- Electrical Tape
- Increasing/Reducing Adapters
- Disposable Clothing
- Disposable Gloves
- Barricade Tape

The Products are sold to Customers on an “as is, where is” basis, and no warranty or condition or affirmation of fact, express or implied, other than as set forth in these Terms of Sales, is made or authorized by Westward. Any and all representations and warranties express or implied, legal, statutory, conventional or otherwise with respect to the Products (including implied warranties as to merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose) whether pursuant to the Sale of Goods Act of any province or otherwise are hereby expressly excluded and disclaimed.
